Kaluakoi Resort - Molokai, Hawaii

Kaluakoi Beach Cottage 8B is a deluxe 1000 sq. foot cottage including a 350
sq. ft lanai. The cottages are the largest and most
private units in this area. Located on a 15 foot rise,
it has an unobstructed view of the ocean. Sitting on
the knoll permits complete privacy for the unit.
Facing west, the sunsets from the lanai are
spectacular. The cottage has a fully equipped kitchen,
a separate eating area, a sitting area (with a color
TV, VCR/DVD, and CD player) looking out over the ocean
to Oahu...direct ocean front, 150 yards from the
beach. It has one bedroom with a large king size bed,
dressing area and a large bathroom. The ceilings are
30’ high with two ceiling fans. 8B was completely
remodeled in early 2004. With an all new kitchen,
bathroom and furniture, it is a wonderful place to
rest, relax and enjoy paradise.

In the summer, the beach in front is very sandy
and a great place to swim and snorkel. In the winter,
the beach is more rocky and the waves are high. Still
a nice place to walk during the day and enjoy the
sunset in the late afternoon. Other nearby sand
beaches are used for swimming in the winter. The
romantic pounding of the waves will lull you to sleep
every night. A barbecue grill and picnic area are
located behind the cottage. There is a large pool
with gorgeous views of two beaches and Oahu.

The island of Molokai is beautiful, peaceful, and
quiet. There are no traffic lights or stop signals on the island.
There is nothing wider than two lane roads. The
island now has several restaurants. The atmospheric
dining at the Hotel Moloka'i, right on the water on
the south side of the island, overlooks Lana'i. The
casual Cook House is located in Kualapu’u. Bring
your own wine bottle! The food is delicious. Downtown
Kaunakakai has Paddlers Inn. They have music on
weekends and have delicious food. There is also a
Subway sandwich shop in Kaunakakai.

Kalaupapa, the former leper colony, is protected by
the world’s highest sea cliffs. Guided tours are
offered daily and this area can be reached either by
hiking down, riding mules, or flying in. It is an
experience you will not soon forget and it shouldn’t
be missed. A visit to the only family-run macadamia
nut farm, the Molokai Coffee Plantation, or old Sugar
Mill are just some of the many fun side trips one can
enjoy. A drive to the gorgeous east end of Molokai
overlooking Maui and Lanai is another nice outing.
On our desk in the cottage is a book with all the
local things to do and the way to book them.

Molokai is a perfect place for a relaxing vacation
with your choice of activities...kayaking, bicycling,
hiking, swimming, snorkeling, body boards, sailing,
zodiac rides, fishing, golf and tennis are readily
available. Molokai Ranch has recently closed the Kaluakoi Golf Course, but golfers can enjoy the delightful Ironwood Hills Golf Course a few miles away in beautiful, cool Kalae.

Our beach front pool with its great view is open for all our renters.
